OB6572/OB6573 is 8-pin Power Factor Correction (PFC) controller IC designed to operate in Continuous Conduction Mode (CCM) with average current control. It provides near-unity power factor for universal input line voltage (85VAC-265VAC) with no need to sense the input voltage. The switching frequency can be internally fixed (OB6573) or externally programmable (OB6572). Frequency shuffling is integrated for better EMI. OB6572/OB6573 includes all necessary protections to ensure safe system operation.
